Education Investment Scheme


a.       Any Bangladeshi student including wards (son/daughter) of IBBL employees.

b.       Parents/guardian  of  Bangladeshi  students  ( If  student's         age is below 18-

years).

 

Age limit:

a.   Students-maximum 30 years.

b. Parents/guardian-maximum 65 years.

a.   To Purchase books and study related instruments  for the students.

b.  Payment of admission fees/semester fees/service cost of education.

Maximum- Tk.3.00 million

a. In case of  purchasing  Education  Materials;  maximum  period  of  investment will be 2 years without gestation period.

b. In case of admission fees & other fees; maximum period of investment will be Academic period + 1 year without gestation period but will not exceed 5- years.

a. Bai-Muajjal (For Purchasing goods)

b. Forward Ijarah (For payment of service cost such as admission fees, semester fees etc.)

Rate of Return:

8.5 % per annum or the rate to be determined by the bank from time to time.

 

Processing Fee:

 0.50% over total sanctioned amount but not exceeding Tk.15,000/-

A.    Upto Tk. 0.20 million:

i.          Personal Guarantee of the Client.

ii.         Personal Guarantee of parents/guardian/spouse and an individual having minimum solvency/income not less than that of the investment client supported by income proof.

iii.        If parents/guardian himself/herself is investment client, in this case at least 02 (Two) personal guaranties with sufficient net worth and acceptable to the Bank.

iv    Hypothecation on invested Goods.

vi Post Dated Cheques for each installment.

vii. Any other security deemed necessary for protecting interest of the Bank.

 

B.     Above Tk.0.20 million to Tk.0.50 million:

i.   Personal Guarantee of the Client.

ii.   Pledge/Lien of Liquid Securities (if any) duly discharged by the Beneficiary.

Or

iii.   Confirmation of lien of service benefit by the competent authority such as Govt., Semi-Govt., Autonomous Body, Bank, Financial Institutions, Renowned Educational Institutions & Renowned Corporate Organizations. In such cases security coverage will  be at least 100%of the sanctioned amount.

 

iv.   Registered Mortgage and Registered Irrevocable General Power of Attorney to be executed on the immovable property(ies) such as land/building/flat etc. mentioning the clause “Bank can sell the property as per section-12 of Artho Rin Adalat Ain-2003 without intervention of court in case of default to pay bank’s dues within due date by the client”. In such cases security coverage will be at least 150%of the sanctioned amount.

v.   Post Dated Cheques for each installment.

Any other security deemed necessary for protecting interest of the Bank.

C.    Above TK.0.50 million to Tk.3.00 million:

i.                       Persñnal Guarantee of the Client.

ii.                     Pledge/Lien of Liquid Securities(if any) duly discharged by the Beneficiary.

iii.                    Registered Mortgage and Registered Irrevocable General Power of Attorney to be executed on the immovable property(res) such as land/buildingJflat etc. mentioning the clause “Bank can sell the property as per section-12 of Artho Rin Adalat Ain-2003 without intervention of court in case of default to pay bank’s dues within due date by the client”. In such cases security coverage will be at least 150%of the sanctioned amount.                                                              ”
