Mohammad Abdur Rahim, FCA has been designated as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC from November 29, 2024.

Mr. Rahim has 24 years of professional experience in corporate sector including Islami Banking. In this long journey, he started his career with Dekko Group and then joined Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC in 2004. During his banking career, he discharged his duties in Bank’s Training Academy, Internal Control and Compliance Wing and Financial Administration Division in various capacities. Lastly he discharged his duties at Islami Bank Capital Management Limited (IBCML), a subsidiary of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC as Managing Director & CEO. During the serving period at Islami Bank Capital Management Limited, he was the Executive Committee Member of Bangladesh Merchant Bankers’ Association (BMBA) and also discharged his duties as the Treasurer of the Association in 2022-2023 and 2024-2025 sessions (till discontinuation). He is also the member of 03 (three) standing Committees (Committee on Non-Banking Financial Institutions, Committee on Income Tax and Committee on VAT & Customs) of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FBCCI) for the term 2023-2025.

Mr. Rahim is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB).He has also obtained Certification on Certified Shari’ah Advisor & Auditor (CSAA) from Accounting and Auditing Organization of Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOFI).

He is a Diplomaed Associate of the Institute of Bankers Bangladesh (DAIBB) and completed Islamic Banking Diploma (DIB) from Islami Bank Training & Research Academy (IBTRA).
