Mr. Md. Maksudur Rahman is the Head of Investment Management Wing of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC with extensive banking career of more than 27 years. He was born in 1969 at Bagerhat District in a Respectable Muslim family.

Mr. Maksud joined Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC on 6th July, 1995 as Probationary Officer and has extensive career in almost all arena of banking specially in the field of Foreign Exchange and Investment Portfolio, Product development, Branch expansion, Financial inclusion, public relations, marketing in home and abroad, relationship banking, expatriate remittance, Agent Banking Operations, Internal Control and Compliance and many other allied areas. He served the Bank in different capacities with different positions viz. Head of 2 Branches, Head of 2 Zones, Head of 2 divisions including Foreign Remittance Service Division and Head of 3 Wings at Head Office viz. Development Wing (DW), Financial Literacy Wing (FLW) and Internal Control & Compliance Wing (ICCW). He served as Bank’s representative in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) with distinctive dimension for more the seven years.

Mr. Maksud obtained his BSS (Hon’s) and MSS degree in Political Science from the University of Rajshahi. He participated in various training courses, seminars, conferences, workshops at home and abroad on various issues and travelled Germany, Greece, Italy, Singapore, Malaysia, KSA, UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives and India.
