Mr. Md. Abdul Jalil is the Independent Director and the Member, Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC.

Mr. Jalil was born in a reputed muslim family in 1957. He completed his B.S.S. (Hons) and M.S.S. in Economics from University of Dhaka. He is a prominent retired Islamic Banker in Bangladesh. Prior to captivating this position; he started his career as Officer Class-1 (Assistant Director) with Bangladesh Bank in 1983, then he served in Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC from 1984-2013 lastly in the capacity of Executive Vice President, then he joined Al-Arafa Islami Bank PLC in 2013 & retired in 2017 as Deputy Managing Director.

Mr. Jalil is the renowned veteran Islamic banker having competencies, vast knowledge and experiences in banking and overall economy. He served with reputation under different capacities including General Banking, Investment, and Foreign Exchange department. During his long professional life, he gathered huge experience as the Incumbent of the different branches. He is vastly devoted to his profession, dynamic banker, Investment specialist especially in maintaining balanced business portfolio of the bank and International Trade for overall growth and improvement of banking sector as well as economy of the country. He is highly committed, ethical, dynamic & visionary banker especially in exploring business opportunities and having more expertise in Project Finance, International business, Foreign Trade financing, Off-shore Banking & competency to face the challenges of banking industry as well.

Mr. Jalil gathered wide range of professional and leadership skills through participation in different national and international training programs, seminars, forums and visited many countries.
