Each designated Branch selects villages within a radius of 16 kilometres of the Branch premises. Following criteria is being followed in selecting a village:

a. Easy communication;

b. Availability or scope of agriculture and other off-farm activities;

c. Abundance of low-income people;

d. Predominance of Islamic values and ideas.
