The 15th S.M.E. Service Centre of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited was inaugurated on Sunday, August 09, 2009 at Kahalu, Bogra. Nazir Ahmed, Chairman, Academic Council of Islami Bank Training and Research Academy and former Chairman, Board of Directors of the Bank inaugurated the S.M.E. Service Center as the Chief Guest. Principal Moulana Tayeb Ali, Chairman, Md. Abdul Karim Akand, Vice Chairman, Momota Arzu Kabita, Female Vice Chairman of Kahalu Upazila Parishad and Md. Nurul Haque acting Principal of Kahalu Degree College were present in the program as Special Guests. Presided over by M. Fariduddin Ahmad, Managing Director of the Bank, the function was addressed among others by Dr. Md. Manzur-e-Elahi, Member of Shari`ah Council of the Bank & Assistant Professor of National University, Mohd. Shamsul Haque, Deputy Managing Director and Shafiqul Mawla, Senior Vice President and Head of Bogra Zone of the Bank.

Nazir Ahmed in his speech as Chief Guest said, IBBL has been working for the last 26 years to reach the service of Islamic Banking to the doorsteps of the people of the country. The Bank has already achieved top position in the banking sector of the country in Deposit, Investment, Remittance and Import-Export business. The Bank is earning more than 25 percent of the total remittance of the country.
