The 11th S.M.E. Service Centre of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited was inaugurated on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Fultala Bazar of Khulna. Engr. Md. Eskander Ali Khan, Chairman, Executive Committee of the Bank inaugurated the S.M.E. Service Center as the Chief Guest and Md. Alamgir Hossain, Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Fultala as special guest. Presided over by M. Fariduddin Ahmad, Managing Director of the Bank, the function was addressed among others by Dr. Hasan Mohammad Moinuddin, Member of Shari`ah Council of IBBL and Assistant Professor of Dawah and Islamic Studies Department of Darul Ihsan University, Shamsunnahar Kumkum, Vice Chairman of Fultala Upazila Parishad, Abul Basher Muhd. Mofazzal Husain, Senior Vice President and Head of Khulna Zone of the Bank and Sheikh Md. Khosh Alam, Incharge of Fultala S.M.E. service center. Md. Barkat Ali Bhuiyan, President of Fultala Businessmen Association, Md. Mustafizur Rahman, President of Fultala Pressclub, Gouro Hori Dash, Businessman and Hafez Md. Mainul Islam addressed the function from among the local elites.

Engr. Md. Eskander Ali Khan in his speech as Chief Guest said, Islami Bank has gained the leading position in deposit, investment, import, export and remittance. This success was possible as a result of honesty, integrity and sincerity of the Directors, officers and employees of the Bank and at the same time cordial help and sincerity of the clients and well wishers. He called upon the employees of the Bank to develop the standard of customer service to make this position of the Bank more firm.

He said, Islami Bank will give investment facilities to the businessmen to run business soundly inorder to face the global recession. He called upon the businessmen to come forward for this reason.

M. Fariduddin Ahmad in his presidential speech called upon the people of Fultala to come forward for taking investment facilities to enhance Small and Medium Enterprises. He said, people will be able to receive remittance sent from any place of the world easily and promptly.

He said, Islami Bank will give investment to women enterprenures to promote them so that they can take part in National development.
