IBBL adjudged best Islamic financial institution in Bangladesh
Global Finance, a US-based financial magazine, adjudged Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited as the Best Islamic Financial Institution in Bangladesh for 2009. IBBL will be rewarded for the achievement with the world’s best Islamic Financial Institutions at a function in October 2009 at Istanbul in Turkey.
The winners of this award are those banks that contributed to the growth of Islamic financing and successfully met their customers needs for Shariah-compliant products while creating the foundation for continued fast growth in the future.
Earlier, Global Finance awarded IBBL as the Best Bank in Bangladesh in 1999, 2000, 2004 & 2005 and Best Islamic Financial Institution in 2008.
