A meeting of the Board of Directors of IBBL was held on Friday, 17 April 2009

Prof. Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher was re-elected Chairman and Yousif Abdulla Al- Rajhi, Representative of Al Rajhi Company for Industry & Trade, Riyadh, K.S.A. and Principal Moulana Zainul Abedin, Representative of Bangladesh Masjid Mission were re-elected as Vice Chairmen of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited. Moreover, the Executive Committee was reformed with Engr. Md. Eskander Ali Khan the Chairman and Moulana Zainul Abedin, Dr. A.K.M.S Islam, Md. Shamsul Huda, FCA, Dr. Abdulhameed Fouad Al Khateeb & Hafizul Islam Mian were elected Members. Audit Committee of the Bank was reformed with Kazi Harun-ar-Rashed as Convenor. M.A Motalib Chowdhury & Md. Shamsul Huda, FCA were elected as Members of the committee.

The election was held on Friday April 17, 2009 at the Board Room of Islami Bank Tower in a meeting of Board of Directors of the Bank with Prof. Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher, Chairman, Board of Directors of the Bank in the chair.

Prof. Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher in his presidential speech said that IBBL is trying incessantly for economic development of the country. This Bank is playing pioneer role for Industrialization, import-export business and collecting remittance of the expatriates. IBBL is following strictly all existing rules and regulations of the country specially Anti-money laundering law to operate banking system.

He said, all sorts of forgeries are under control for efficient handling of risk management by the well trained manpower of the Bank. IBBL has been considered as a well run institution by the people of the country.

|
He thanked the common people, Shareholders, 44 lac depositors, 5 lac investment clients, welwishers and all level of Officials and employees of the Bank for the success of the Bank.

|
He called upon all to work together to reach the service of IBBL to the doorstep of the people of the country.
